Brachial Artery Anatomy
It is the continuation of the axillary artery beyond the lower margin of teres major muscle. It also runs laterally to the flexor carpi radialis muscle which is involved in hand and wrist motion.

It continues down the ventral surface of the arm until it reaches the cubital fossa at the elbow.
Brachial artery anatomy. Below the cubital fossa the brachial artery divides into two arteries running down. The brachial artery may diverge from its usual course along the medial aspect. It then divides into the radial and ulnar arteries which run down the forearm.
It is a medium sized artery and is actually a continuation of the axillary artery from the region of the axilla into the arm. The brachial artery continues from the axillary artery at the shoulder and travels down the underside of the arm. The brachial artery also terminates into the radial artery which proceeds under the brachioradialis muscle which is what allows the wrist to bend backward.
Along with many other structures in the human body the anatomical course of the brachial artery may vary between people. The brachial artery is the major blood vessel of the upper arm. The brachial artery can also form anastomoses or branches more proximal than usual.
The brachial artery occupies the middle of the space and divides opposite the neck of the radius into the radial and ulnar arteries. It is covered in front by the integument the superficial fascia and the vena mediana cubiti the last being separated from the artery by the lacertus fibrosus. Along with the medial cubital vein and bicep tendon it forms the cubital fossa the triangular pit on the inside of the elbow.
Brachial artery is the main arterial supply of the upper limb providing the blood supply to nearly all of its structures.
