Anatomy of the arm. The brachialis and biceps muscles act to bend the arm at the elbow. The muscles of the arm and hand are specifically designed to meet the bodys diverse needs of strength speed and precision while completing many complex daily tasks. A number of smaller muscles cover the radius and ulna and act to move the hand and fingers in various ways.

The capitulum of the humerus articulates with the upper aspect of the head of the radius humeroradial joint the trochlea of the humerus articulates with the trochlear notch of the ulna humero ulnar joint.
